TalentPing ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered job search assistant that helps professionals find and apply to jobs efficiently. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials.
Resume & Profile Data: You may upload your resume and provide professional details such as work experience, skills, education, and job preferences. This information is used to match you with relevant job opportunities.
Gmail Data (with your consent): If you connect your Gmail account via Google OAuth, we access your email through the Gmail API with gmail.modify and gmail.readonly scopes. This allows TalentPing to read incoming job-related emails, send application emails and follow-ups on your behalf, and manage job search correspondence. We only access emails relevant to your job search activities.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with TalentPing, including features used, pages visited, and actions taken.
We use your information to provide and improve our AI-powered job search service, including matching you with relevant job opportunities, generating personalized cover letters, sending and managing job application emails, analyzing job market trends relevant to your profile, and improving our AI models and service quality.
Your data is stored in secure PostgreSQL databases hosted on dedicated infrastructure. OAuth tokens for Gmail access are encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption (AES-256). We implement access controls, regular security audits, and encrypted connections (TLS) for all data in transit.
TalentPing integrates with the following third-party services:
Google Gmail API: For email access and management (only with your explicit OAuth consent).
AI Language Models (via OpenRouter): For generating cover letters, analyzing job postings, and providing job search recommendations. We send only the minimum necessary context to AI services and do not share your personal identification details.
Disconnect Gmail: You can revoke Gmail access at any time from your TalentPing settings or from your Google Account permissions page.
Delete Account: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.
Data Export: You can request a copy of your data at any time.
Opt Out: You can stop using any feature at any time without penalty.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
TalentPing is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page.
